My musical journey so far was thrilling as well as challenging. I chose to learn the flute because I personally connect with it. The sound is serene and melodious.
I started my first flute lessons at the age of eight. It was online due to the pandemic. For the first few classes, I learnt basic notes. Initially it was a tedious task. I was struggling with breath control. Within a month, I got a hang of it; my finger movements were rapid and had better breath control. I devoted one hour daily to music. Gradually I started playing classical pieces. My first solo performance was at NCPA and so I was thrilled to bits. I have a vast repertoire of classical pieces and I would want to add different genres to it.
Music is an ongoing journey. I aspire to join the orchestra as a professional musician. It has just been two years and I know I have a long way to go to achieve that finesse.
